One-Time Message (OTM)

Messages that self-destruct after a single view

In Short

A message that can only be read once before being permanently deleted, ensuring sensitive information doesn't persist.

Explained

One-time messages combine encryption with single-read enforcement. The encrypted message is stored temporarily, and upon first retrieval, it's immediately deleted from the server. The recipient gets one chance to read it.

How zkChat Implements This

zkChat's OTM feature lets you create encrypted messages that self-destruct after being viewed once. Perfect for sharing passwords, keys, or sensitive information. The message is deleted from our servers the moment it's retrieved.
